So, we’re a quarter of the way into 2019 already, and things have been hectic! There have been some important changes here at The Work From Home Aussie, and there’s lots of great new content coming up soon too, so I thought now might be a good time for a quick update on what’s happening with the blog, and what you can expect to see from us over the next few months.
First up, as many of you already know, we launched on Facebook recently! In addition to sharing all blog posts over on Facebook, I also share lots of job leads I come across in my day to day work which I don’t want to write a full blog post about here, so it’s definitely worth following our Facebook page to stay on top of all the leads we share there. You can also now find us on Pinterest, so be sure to follow our boards covering everything from home office decor, through to quick workouts and easy meals for the busy home-based worker.
In terms of future content, we’ve got some great stuff coming up over the next few months. I’m super excited about a post we’ve got going live in a few weeks time about virtual assistance. I’ve interviewed several VAs who are currently running their own VA businesses here in Australia, and they’ve shared details about their experiences and also insights to help new VAs who are just starting out. In May I’ll also be reviewing the FREE 5 Day VA Challenge course offered by Hannah Dixon, founder of Digital Nomad Kit, so if you’re a current or aspiring VA, be sure to keep an eye out for this review in late May/early June.
There’s also a lot of updated online ESL teaching info coming soon. As my regular readers know, my experience as an online ESL teacher was a positive and profitable one, and I think it can be a great home-based work option for a lot of people. Online ESL is an area that is evolving quickly, and there have been lots of changes even in the relatively short time since my series of online ESL posts in late 2018, so I’ll be doing a series of dedicated update posts, where I’ll provide detailed info about individual companies and how to apply to them.
There’s also heaps of other content coming up. I’ll continue to add to the list of Companies that Hire Australians to Work From Home, and will of course add any new companies I blog about to the Jobs Hub too. There’ll be content about health maintenance for home-based workers, and we’ll be exploring a bunch of home-based work options we haven’t touched on yet, along with answering questions like: Can you actually make any money doing online surveys? and, How the heck do I maintain any kind of work/life balance when I work from home?
So, that’s it for this quick update on where we’re heading as we move further into 2019. We’re really excited about it, and we hope you are too.
As always, happy job hunting,
